As your elected ward councillor for Ward 86 I serve as the link between our community and the Johannesburg council. My role is to champion your interests, communicate your needs to the municipality and hold the city accountable for service delivery. Ward councillors are expected to represent the people, communicate the community’s needs, attend council meetings and monitor municipal performance. After returning from a brief absence in 2025 I publicly noted that our ward still faces unresolved challenges – from potholes and sewerage overflows to aging infrastructure【700244917123541†L72-L113】. This experience reinforced my belief that councillors must stay on the ground, keep escalating issues and maintain pressure on officials【700244917123541†L72-L113】. I work closely with the Democratic Alliance to fight for honest governance and better services.
